Should You Buy A House During A Recession?

I always say YES YES YES. Here’s a quick pros/cons list to shed some more light on the matter.

The number one reason I say YES to buying a home during a recession is because in Southern California, it means LESS COMPETITION. The other items listed such as stricter lending requirements and economic uncertainty are really not issues right now.

With less or no competition to buy a home, now first-time buyers and buyers with low down payments or no down payments can get into homeownership without having to compete with investors and cash buyers or buyers with large down payments. This window of opportunity is closing though and if you are thinking of buying NOW IS THE TIME.
