Home Prices Continue to Slow

Here’s a great article with a chart that shows the real estate market throughout the country and how much it has gone up . . . or down. The article went into the fact that the first time in a long time, we are actually seeing more homes on the market than buyers that want to buy them.

NOTE: If you are a first-time buyer and/or a low/no down payment buyer, this is your time to jump in and finally become a homeowner because there is less competition right now and you have a greater opportunity to have your offer accepted, closing costs paid and interest rates have come down drastically since the beginning of the year. Call me if you would like to see what you qualify for and what special programs are available to you so you can buy with less money down and/or buy down your interest rate.

This article goes on to say that so far this year, we are still up on average 2.2 percent, BUT there are some places that are now seeing their values decrease.

Interestingly enough, the article states that for the past 21 months, the real estate market has been going up in value year-over-year, with the peak being December 2023 at 5.6 percent.

Because the mortgage rates have started to come down significantly, as well as fuel and food, the experts are predicting we may see a bit of a buyer surge in the coming months. Call me so you can buy before the buyer surge and start earning some equity.
