If you didn’t know, there’s a way to bring down your property tax bill.
After purchasing a home, the County Assessor sends out a “homeowner’s exemption” form which when you complete it will reduce your property value by $7,000 for tax assessment.
On average this can save a homeowner thousands of dollars in property tax over the years.
If you haven’t done so already, you must complete the “homeowners exemption” and file it with your County Assessor.
Now this is only an exemption for owner-occupants and not for investments/rental properties.
Also, this is very important because once you file for this exemption, your children/grandchildren will benefit from it when the house is passed on to them.
If you are unsure if you have the exemption, need the form, or need assistance, please reply to this email or call me so I can assist you.
