Insurance Company to drop all condo and rental policies

YIKES this will definitely hurt. For the past few years obtaining and keeping insurance for our homes has been challenging. For the lucky ones who can keep their policy, they are paying a huge premium for that privilege. For the rest of us, where the insurance companies are trying to cancel us, it appears to be a great challenge staying insured in CA.

Unfortunately, now the 4th largest insurance company for CA . . . Liberty Mutual is planning to exit the condo market and the rental insurance market. This is definitely going to create issues for condo owners and will definitely start to affect property values. If you are a condo owner or own a rental property and Liberty is your insurance company, it is time to make a change. Call me if you do not have another insurance company you can go to and I’ll refer you to the company that insures my properties.

Unfortunately, when you cannot get affordable insurance for a home, you can face many issues down the road. I would highly recommend you start to get a handle on this issue today.
