While the market nationwide has softened a bit, it looks like new home sales have risen for the last 5 consecutive months.
We can attribute this to the temporary drop in interest rates, as well as, the buyers waiting on the sidelines getting back in the game now that the home buying field is a bit more even and not so crazy.
In our So Cal area, I know prices for brand new homes have been dropping a bit making new homes more affordable to buyers. PLUS builders are sweetening the purchase by offering buyers buy downs on mortgage interest rate as low as 4.5%, offering upgrades on home amenities at no or low cost, and doing everything possible to make the home-buying purchase very attractive to all buyers. It looks like home builders are ready to make a deal. Call me if you’d like to see some new homes.
