In fact, it was quite the contrary.
It looks like overall, 2022 home prices rose approximately 5% over 2021.
This is great news because even though we had the highest interest rates that we have seen in 10+ years for at least 6 months of 2021, our real estate values still rose and stood strong.
This is why I think owning your own home and some investment properties is always a great idea. . . because people always need a place to live.
From the looks of things 2023 is going to be a lot like 2022 EXCEPT the interest rates will smidge up a bit more.
For you buyers standing on the sidelines, now is the time to jump in with both feet. Once the “investors” realize the sky is not falling, they’ll jump right back into buying and investing, and once again it’ll be more difficult and more expensive for you to become a homeowner.
