What’s the Best Investment Now . . . Bonds – Stocks – Bitcoin or YOUR HOME?

This is a fantastic article that compares homeownership to other investments.
Warning on the following information regarding Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is a relatively new type of investment there is very little historical data on long-term success which is why it has the highest 5-year return. Although Bitcoin has a 5-year return of 500%+, I believe it is reasonable to conclude that it may not be the ideal investment for the long term considering that Bitcoin has fallen significantly recently.
While real estate and homeownership as an investment did not have the highest rate of return long-term, in my opinion, a home you live in will ALWAYS BE THE BEST INVESTMENT. Investment property that you rent out for cash flow is, as well, because you have the potential to generate passive income monthly and create generational wealth.
Another item to note that was not taken into account when reviewing investments is that the government subsidizes real estate ownership and investments through tax benefits such as depreciation and the write-off of interest and property taxes. An additional benefit as a homeowner is that the majority of your equity gain, if not all of it, is tax-free money. You definitely cannot beat tax-free money because that’s as good as it gets my friends.
